View’s patented search algorithm iterates over several global parameters using what’s known as a hybrid global-search-coordinate-search technique. Each iteration over a set of parameters is a full loop within a design – model – estimate process (unless the parameters are deemed unrealistic, in which case the search algorithm terminates further calculation within the current iteration). The key global parameters that are considered within the optimization algorithm are Panel Type, Inverter Type, Tilt, Row Spacing, Azimuth, Skew, AC or DC System Size and DC/AC Ratio. Additionally, optimization of sub-global parameters such as equipment location, wire routing and structural design occurs within each design step.
